Avalon Globus new ships and Itineraries for 2010

Avalon Waterways has created new itineraries for 2010 and will also be christening two new ships - Avalon Felicity and Avalon Luminary.

Here are five new river cruises that Avalon will have for 2010

1. Paris to Normandy's Landing Beaches, eight days, Paris to Paris

2. Grand France, 16 days, Paris to Cote d'Azur (or reverse)

3. Castles on the Rhine to the City of Music, 13 days, Zurich to Vienna

Tauck Ads Family Cruising

Tauck has announced its Tauck Bridges family-specific trips for 2010 and reports its 2010 portfolio will include a river cruise designed especially for families. Tauck said it tested the family river cruise concept earlier this year and, based on overwhelmingly positive guest feedback and strong sales, the company is formally adding it to its Bridges line for 2010.

The Green Viking Legend Christened

On November 23 Viking River Cruises' newest ship, Viking Legend, was christened by godmother Stevi M. Tracas, wife of Steve Tracas, President and CEO of Vacation.com.

The new ship features 97 staterooms, including two suites, 90 deluxe doubles and five singles. The 2010 season features four different itineraries including the 10-day Tulips & Windmills program and the Grand European Tour itinerary.
